My love affair with computers began early in life.
By 1980 I owned three computer systems. I credit my time working on computers in
the military for “hooking” me into the love of computer service and repair. I
continued my work with computers after discharge, working for AT&T and MicroAge.
During that time I began pursuing MCSE (Microsoft Certified System Engineer)
certification. I also obtained my A+ certification in hardware and software.
In January of 1999 I decided it was time to begin my own business in the world
of computer repair and service, Superstition Computers. I began working on
computers for people most days, while keeping my job at night with MicroAge. By
June of 2000, I found myself laid off by MicroAge. I worked out of my home until
the beginning of 2001. I was soon offered the opportunity to open a storefront
in Gold Canyon. Although I had the store, it was not officially open to the
public until May of that year.
Superstition Computers has steadily grown over the years.
We provide computer service and support to business clients that do not maintain
their own on-site, full-time computer service technicians. In addition, we offer
a wide variety of services and products for the individual computer owner. Some
of the services we provide are: building custom computer systems; repair of
existing computer systems; establishment, set-up and maintenance of wired and
wireless networking systems both in home and business environments; virus
removal; data recovery; upgrading of current systems, troubleshooting and
diagnostics of most hardware. These services are provided for both desktop and
laptop computers. Taking a creative approach to solving computer problems allows
us to meet individual client needs while staying competitive financially.
In 2004 the business was voted the “Best of the Best” for Computer Sales and
Service in the Apache Junction area. It was quite an honor to be the recipient
of an award that was the result of a public vote.
